6mm Macedonians

Behold The Might Of Macedon!

This 6mm Macedonian force is actually my most recent army. All figures are from Baccus, though some are from the company’s old sculpts and some are the new ones. Each unit is based on 40mm x 40mm squares of steel flashing to allow them to stick in my transport bins lined with sheet magnet. That basing allows me to use them in an ancients mod for Chipco, or combine them together to form bigger units for Hail Caesar. For the pike-armed heart of the army, I cram 64 figures on each stand, and give each figure an individually painted and (slightly) blunted straight pin for armament. I’d like to expand the army by about 20 more stands, and have most of the figures I need to do it, but I have to be in the proper mindset to be able to handle the insanity of assembling those pike blocks.

Roster (painted): 512 Pikemen, 128 Hypaspists/Greek Mercenary Hoplites, 48 Peltasts, 30 Companion Cavalry, 30 Thessalian Cavalry, 24 Podromoi Cavalry, 40 Skirmishers, 4 Elephants, 9 Generals.
